Gender Segmentation may not be the best thing to do in the marketing world, for the amount of fury raised by both genders, but the Japanese seem to either ignore them or find their way around them. Yet another product that we found was gender-specific gums from Xylish. The Floral Rose in pink is for women, while the Clean Citrus for the gentlemen. I know a lot of guys who like rose or strawberry flavors more than I do, so why the branding? I can only imagine how folks in Japan would stare if a lady happens to open the Clean Citrus pack for a gum chew!

While the gender segregation on them maybe a bit weird and unfair, the packaging of the gum is impeccable and creative. It’s almost like a wrapper you could store in your drawer for its pretty looks.
