Like many of you, Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi film Prometheus was 1 of my most anticipated films of the year. Every little thing I saw up till watching the actual movie looked amazing, and I had no doubt in my thoughts that it was going to be awesome, and guess what… it was! The movie was incredibly entertaining, and it delivers some powerful horsepower. I do have a couple gripes about the film, but that does not influence the truth that I nonetheless thought it was incredible!

1 of the first things I want to talk about is the marketing campaign for this movie, the studio ended up displaying way too significantly of the film in the trailers and clips. There were just way as well a lot of spoilers for the movie. It’s like I knew what was going to occur following all the way throughout the film as I’m watching it, and ultimately I knew how it was going to end simply because they generally put the stupid ass ending of the film in the trailers! I assume I would have loved the movie far more if I didn’t know as much as I did. But I guess that is my fault because I watched everything the studio released. There were still some cool and surprising moments, 1 in specific was extremely extreme! There is a brief clip of it in the trailer, but the moments major up to what is shown in the trailer are absolutely terrifying and a great deal of folks in the theater located it hard to view. You’ll know the scene I’m speaking about when you see it.

Even however I felt a lot of the film was spoiled for me it nevertheless entertained the hell out of me, and it was still properly created and beautifully shot . There have been a handful of area’s in which I felt the story was stumbling on itself, but I think that may well just have come down to the films editing for time. I’m not saying the story was poor, I freakin’ loved the story!  I’m just saying it could have flowed a little greater. There had been just so several awesome tips they wanted to pack into the movie, and they did the finest they could finding it all in there.

Scott and the screenwriters Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelop takes the audience on a gloriously epic journey with Prometheus, it was so cool to see them revisit the Alien universe Scott created. They took the mythology of Alien, and produced a film with it really is own distinctive and horrifying awesomeness. The film is most d absolutely a prequel set in the exact same globe, but Prometheus is its own beast. It’s certainly a lot more of a sic-fi film than horror, the tone was closer to that of 2001: A Room Odyssey, than the unique Alien film. There’s nevertheless plenty of horror components in Prometheus, it is just not the primary focus.
