Hard), it’s likely from his hentai-inspired webcomic Sexy Losers/The Thin H Line (both links extremely NSFW), which showcases explicitly raunchy jokes about incest, necrophilia, masturbation and adultery. Now the man who popularized the word “fap” has begun making comics about a much more personal subject: his own depression. And Clay isn’t the only webcartoonist who currently has depression on the brain; it’s also played a role in a wide range of comics like Hyperbole and a Half, DAR, Achewood, Bruno, and Questionable Content.

Word came from Digital Manga Publishing on Wednesday that they are putting Hideyuki Kikuchi’s Vampire Hunter D on comiXology’s digital storefront.

True to its name, Digital has always been a pioneer in digital manga, and Vampire Hunter D was actually one of the first manga to be available on iOS.

Back in the early days (what, two years ago?), Vampire Hunter D was released as single-issue apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Digital already offers it via the Kindle and a number of other digital alternatives, but putting it on comiXology does brings the book to a wider audience of dedicated comics readers, something that will happen more easily there than on Amazon, because comiXology is specifically pitched to comics readers. Most of Digital’s line is yaoi manga, with a handful of shoujo and shonen titles, but Vampire Hunter D has strong crossover appeal for American comics readers, so this is a good choice for them.
