With a property like The Lord of the Rings, Traveller’s Tales has embarked on probably the most epic undertaking possible in bringing it into the LEGO game universe. LEGO Lord of the Rings may be the latest in a long line of LEGO games, but that doesn’t mean the formula has tired. Far from it, in fact.
LEGO Lord of the Rings sticks closely to the source material which, given some of the drama of the films, may make you wonder if it’s still a kid-friendly game.

For some reason I’m liking the Lego game trailers, I really don’t know why and I don’t even like buying all that overpriced plastic bricks in the first place. Or maybe it’s the sense of humor that goes with all the character’s dialogues and stuff. Anyways, I’m glad to finally see the Lego Lord of the Rings version of Gollum, and still that supposed ring they have in the game still looks more like a bracelet to me. But if you have a couple of minutes of your life to watch a game trailer of middle earth made of bricks then just head on to the break and probably get a few chuckles.

Lego Reveals More ‘Lord of the Rings’ Minifigs Including Gollum and Other Foes

The Fellowship of the Ring assembled for a group shot in a show showcased during the UK Toy Fair final week, but now Lego has officially unveiled the tiny plastic threats they will encounter in new pictures advertising its upcoming The Lord of the Rings sets. That’s appropriate, tiny Uruk-hai, Ringwraiths, orcs and an added creepy lil’ Gollum. Pardon the clear reference, but this things is preciousssssssss. Take a look at total pictures and behold the LoTR Lego goodness right after the jump.
